Heat exchangers

SHELL&COIL heaT EXCHANGERS

Characteristics:
In K type heat exchangers heat transfer surface is a coil made with specially corrugated tubes. This kind of surface allows to multiply heat transfer intensity. In heat exchangers without the K addidition inside coil is made with smooth surface tubes.

Advantages:
High efficency: higher heat transfer coeficent in comparison to standard shell&tube and plate heat exchangers. Vertical instalation: Reduces space requirements. Facility of implementation: Various different types allowing to choose a heat exchanger for specific pressures, temperatures and flows. Low running cost: Higher impurities resistance thanks to V type connections and corrugated tubes.

Materials:
Coil, tube wall: stainless steel, Shell: stainless steel, Connections: stainless steel, Flanges: stainless steel, carbon steel

Applications:

  • Heating systems

  • Refrigeration and air conditioning

  • Heat transfer in industrial processes

BRAZED PLATE heaT EXCHANGERS

Characteristic:
Brazed plate heat exchangers consist of stainless steel plate packs, which have embossed chevron patterns. The plates are turned 180 degrees to each other, causing the plate ridges to intersect and creating a lattice of intersecting channels. Fluids can flow in counter-current and co-current way. The entire construction is nondismountable and the entire construction is scaled together by means of brazing in a special vacuum furnace.

Advantages:

  • High heat transfer coefficient

  • Small unit size with high heat transfer capacity

  • High resistance to pressure and temperature fluctuations

  • Cost efficiency

  • Stainless steel connections

  • Easy installation

Materials:

  • Plates and connections: stainless steel;

  • Brazing: copper and nickel.

Applications:

  • Central heating

  • Hydronic Heating
  • Solar and Geothermic Heating
  • Industrial Process Heat recovery
  • Condensers and evaporatorss in refrigeration systems
  • Oil coolers
  • Close approach fluit-to-fluid heat transfer

PLATE AND FRAME heaT EXCHANGERS

Constructional description:

The plate heat exchangers are build from following elements:

  • thermal plate with seals

  • cap plate

  • back plate

  • helical stays

  • upper connector

  • lower connector

  • back support

Thermal plates are made of stainless sheets and have surface with proper selected pressings. The quantity of plates is variable and depends on power of exchanger. Between plates are placed seals which ensure leak-tightness of whole system. There are used two types of seals – glued and clamp. On the cap plate are connector pipes of heating and heated factor. Connector pipes end with flanges. Cap plate and back support are connected by upper and lower connectors.

Cleaning:

Cleaning of heat exchanger is possible in two ways:

chemical rinsing through circulation of medium without dismantling the exchanger;

hand cleaning of particular plates by agent and soft brush after dismantling the exchanger

Materials:

thermal plates stainless steel AISI (thickness 0,6mm)
cap plate carbon steel (thickness 30mm)
back plate carbon steel (thickness 30mm)
helical stays carbon steel with increased resistance
upper connector carbon steel
lower connector carbon steel
back support carbon steel
seals ethylene- propylene rubber (EPDM)
